Der Bordsteinlobby e.V. agiert an der Schnittstelle zwischen Stadtbewohner:innen, Stadtentwicklung und den diversen Mitmach- und Kulturinitiativen in und um Chemnitz. Die Projektpalette ist in den letzten vier Jahren gewachsen: der Verein verfügt über ein Netzwerk
mit mehr als 80 Akteur:innen und realisiert mit diesen regelmäßige Veranstaltungen. Darunter waren z.B. kritische Stadtspaziergänge, Konzerte, Soziokulturelles, Workshops, die Stadtkarte der selbstgemachten Stadtkultur, u.v.m. Ein Höhepunkt ist das STAUNT-Festival, das die spartenübergreifende Vernetzung von Kulturakteur:innen, die Aktivierung ehrenamtlichen Engagements und die Erkundung unterschiedlichster Stadtteile miteinander verbindet.
Ziel der Projekte ist stets, die in Chemnitz besonders ausgeprägte Dezentralität der Aktivitätsorte zu überwinden, Akteur:innen langfristig zu vernetzen, Menschen aller Generationen miteinander zu verbinden und zu ermutigen, selbst gestalterisch aktiv zu werden sowie die eigene Stadt aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven neu zu erschließen. Die ehrenamtliche gemeinnützige Aktivität wird von zwölf jungen Chemnitzer:innen getragen, unterstützt durch freiwillige Helfer:innen, Praktikant:innen und die Mitmach- und Kulturinitiativen im Stadtgebiet.
The Bordsteinlobby e.V. acts at the interface between city residents, urban development and the various participatory and cultural initiatives in and around Chemnitz. The range of projects has grown over the last four years: the association has a network of more than 80 actors and regularly organizes events with them. These have included critical city walks, concerts, socio-cultural events, workshops, the city map of self-made city culture, and much more. A highlight is the STAUNT festival, which combines the interdisciplinary networking of cultural actors, the activation of voluntary work and the exploration of different parts of the city.
The aim of the projects is always to overcome the decentralized places of activity in Chemnitz, to network actors in the long term, to connect people of all generations and to encourage them to become creatively active themselves, as well as to open up their own city anew from different perspectives. The voluntary, non-profit activity is carried out by twelve young people from Chemnitz, supported by volunteers, interns and the participatory and cultural initiatives in the city.
