Das LOKOMOV ist ein für alle Menschen offen stehender Anlaufpunkt zum kulturellen und künstlerischen Austausch am Fuße des Sonnenbergs. Es hat jeden Mittwoch von 12-17 Uhr sowie freitags und samstags ab 18 Uhr und sonntags ab 15 Uhr geöffnet.
In gemütlicher Café- und Bar-Atmosphäre finden regelmäßig Veranstaltungen in den Bereichen Musik, Literatur und Film statt. Hinzu kommen Vorträge, Podiumsdiskussionen und Workshops, die Publikum aus der gesamten Stadt und Umgebung anziehen. Ziel ist es, ein kulturelles Angebot zu schaffen, das über den Horizont einer sächsischen Provinzstadt hinausschaut und gleichzeitig in Zusammenarbeit mit den anderen Akteur*innen auf dem Sonnenberg und anderen Stadtteilen eine kulturelle Belebung des Quartiers anzustoßen. Es dient als Katalysator und Treffpunkt für die Organisation neuer kultureller Projekte und Initiativen, welche sich hier regelmäßig treffen und die Infrastruktur und Know How des Klub Solitaer e.V. nutzen.
Im Jahr finden normalerweise ca. 150 Veranstaltungen statt. Darunter findet sich von Konzerten und Parties über Workshops, interaktiven Formaten, Filmabenden sowie Lesungen und Begegnungsformaten bis hin zu Märkten und Spielecafé für jede*n etwas. Bei der Gestaltung des Programms sind neue Veranstaltungsideen und Vorschläge immer gern gesehen und können z.B. beim monatlichen offenen Barplenum eingebracht werden. Ziel ist es, eine offene Bühne und einen unkomplizierten Zugang zur Chemnitzer Kulturlandschaft für alle Interessierten zu bieten.
LOKOMOV is a meeting point for cultural and artistic exchange at the foot of Sonnenberg, open to everyone. It is open every Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., as well as Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. and Sundays from 3 p.m.
In a cozy café and bar atmosphere, regular events in the fields of music, literature, and film take place. Lectures, panel discussions, and workshops attract audiences from the entire city and surrounding area. The goal is to create a cultural offering that looks beyond the horizons of a provincial Saxon town and, at the same time, to stimulate a cultural revitalization of the neighborhood in collaboration with other actors on Sonnenberg and other parts of the city. It serves as a catalyst and meeting place for the organization of new cultural projects and initiatives, which meet here regularly and utilize the infrastructure and expertise of Klub Solitaer e.V.
Typically, around 150 events take place annually. There's something for everyone, from concerts and parties to workshops, interactive formats, film evenings, readings and social events to markets and a games café. New event ideas and suggestions are always welcome when designing the program and can be submitted, for example, at the monthly open bar plenary session. The goal is to provide an open platform and easy access to Chemnitz's cultural landscape for all interested parties.
